About Funshine

Funshine Therapy is a mobile paediatric occupational therapy service supporting children and families across the Sunshine Coast. We visit children in the places they feel most comfortable and confident, at home, school, or kindergarten, because therapy works best in real-life environments.

We proudly work with NDIS participants.

What We Do

Occupational Therapy (OT) helps children participate in the everyday activities they need and want to do. When a child finds certain tasks challenging, it can affect their confidence, independence, and family life. Our role is to gently identify what’s getting in the way and provide practical, personalised support.

We work with children experiencing challenges in areas such as:

  • Gross and fine motor skills

  • Attention and focus

  • Following routines

  • Self-care skills (toileting, dressing, teeth brushing, eating)

  • Sensory processing and regulation

  • Emotional regulation

  • Social skills

Every child is different. Occupational therapists are trained to consider the whole child, their strengths, environment, and daily routines, and tailor interventions accordingly. This may involve building specific skills, adapting tasks, or modifying the environment to better support success.

Our approach is practical, collaborative, and family-centred. We aim to empower children and support parents with realistic, respectful, and sustainable strategies.
